I started this blog in 2008 to keep my extended family and friends updated on my health and life during my breast cancer treatment.The blog title was taken from my Mom's advice for life. As I've thought of that advice through the years it can be attributed to self care, positivity, keep moving forward, etc... Reba (mom) was a firm believer if you put a little lipstick on and held your head up, you could do anything.

Last night Elijha had a tournament game and I told him to hit one for me, since I couldn't be there to watch. He hit a home run!! Go Elijha!! I'll give you a high five, as soon as I can raise my arms that high. :)
Oh, Laura! I wish you could have seen it! Angie told Elijha you wanted him to hit a home run and he DID! He said, "that was for Laura!" We stood up and cheered and cheered! You are very special to that little boy.
