Gratefuls and did wells

I read that Carol Burnett ends each day by writing down 3 things she is grateful for, and 3 things she did well. These can be big or little things. She says it helps her stay centered. I think I am going to try this and see how it works. .

Valentines Day show

We went to see Rick Springfield on Valentines day at the Wildhorse with several of our friends. Sophie and Elijha came also - this was their first big concert. We were sitting at the second row of tables from the stage and Sophie got to go on stage and sing "Don't talk to Strangers" with Rick at one point. We had lots of fun. Here are a couple of photos:

Life

I read something similar to this in a magazine this weekend. I edited it to make it fit my journey: Life is precious and fragile - enjoy every minute and don't take any of it for granted. Life is beautiful, even when it hurts. I've realized I can get through anything I might face, and come out stronger for it. Life is about doing your best, sharing your best gifts, and learning from your mistakes and your successes.

The latest news in my journey - tattoos!

Today I went to the plastic surgeons office and got my "medical tattoos". Please stop reading now...if you don't want to know the details. When they did my reconstruction they had to build me new nipples, they look pretty much like the ones I had before except they didn't have any color. So today, they tattooed on the color. It took less than an hour and I was done. Jenni went with me an watched and said it didn't look too bad. I'm still very numb, so I didn't feel anything. I'll have to wear bandages for a few days, but after that I'm good to go!

Award

Our team "Fight like a girl" won the largest Survivor led team at the 2008 Komen race for the cure this year. I finally got by the office to pick up the Award. Here it is: I certainly could not have done any of this without all of you!
