The latest news in my journey - tattoos!

Today I went to the plastic surgeons office and got my "medical tattoos". Please stop reading now...if you don't want to know the details.

When they did my reconstruction they had to build me new nipples, they look pretty much like the ones I had before except they didn't have any color. So today, they tattooed on the color. It took less than an hour and I was done. Jenni went with me an watched and said it didn't look too bad. I'm still very numb, so I didn't feel anything. I'll have to wear bandages for a few days, but after that I'm good to go!

What you went trough must have been quite the journey!A few years back a woman I knew had reconstructive surgery and the results were amazingly real.I will have to come back and read more.
Please know that tattoos fade with too much sun exposure.
Thanks for the advice Amy - I'll try to limit my nude sunbathing. Hee Hee : )

This is pretty remarkable! I wondered how all this happened, since reading your last post about such things.

Sooooo--does this mean we're going to have show and tell at the next family reunion? :) (just joking) :)
