Please pray for my friend

My friend Amber's cancer has reared it's ugly head again. It's back in her liver and now there is a spot in her lung too. I was hoping and praying she would remain clear and wouldn't have to battle this again - the whole thing makes my heart hurt.

Amber knows I love her and I will be here with her every step of this journey. Please pray for my friend!

Living in Music City

Nashville is a great city. Sometimes I take for granted what a wonderful city we live in, until I am talking to someone who is newer to our area. The cost of living is decent, traffic isn't too bad, people are kind and generous and you can see all types of live music pretty much any night of the week. My friend Katherine  and her daughter Macie enjoy going to the Opry. The other night they saw Dolly Parton and Taylor Swift for $40. Where else can you do that?! I think one of the reasons many celebrities like to live here is because no one really bothers them. They can shop, dine and head to the movies without being hounded by the paparazzi. Not that we don't notice when we see Nicole and Keith at the coffee shop, or Sheryl Crow at the store but we southerners are polite and leave them alone.   I was working on my box for our city swap and decided to head downtown to get some official music city souvenirs. This is not an original idea, I took it from my new blog friend Shelly . Shelly was the originator of the International City Swap , but is currently busy opening her B&B and restaurant in Longbranch , WA. She has graciously agreed to allow me to be the hostess this year. What is the International City Swap? What we do is we swap cities/towns. You put together a package that you think best represents the place where you live, and what you love about it. Or, if you think where you live is ridiculous, you can put in the silliest things you can find. It’s up to your own creativity.
