Ten years ago...

November 15th is always a sad day for me. It's the day my mother lost her battle to cancer. This year marks the 10 year anniversary of her death. Even though I feel her presence every day and I see so much of her in my family - it's hard not to have her here with us.

I love you Mom!

*hugs*

I miss my Mom too. It has only been 4.5 years and I still find myself reaching for the phone to call for advice or share some news.

I am sad that my girls never knew Reba, but am amused how often I still think of her. I have the doll I gave her on my dresser, the girls don't play with it because they say "it's special." A few weeks ago while sewing a button back onto a shirt I found myself tearing up telling Morgan the story of when I learned how to do that from my grandmother; and how she made elaborate costumes, was great at coloring, and once let me dig a hole in her yard because I got excited after watching Indiana Jones. Morgan agreed. She was pretty great.
