I started this blog in 2008 to keep my extended family and friends updated on my health and life during my breast cancer treatment.The blog title was taken from my Mom's advice for life. As I've thought of that advice through the years it can be attributed to self care, positivity, keep moving forward, etc... Reba (mom) was a firm believer if you put a little lipstick on and held your head up, you could do anything.

We had several going away parties. It sure is hard to leave such wonderful friends, but they promised to visit!
